WHAT HAPPENS in these SESSIONs? 

In a Focusing session, you become aware of the ‘felt sense’ of your body. This is the subtle, often vague sensation or feeling that comes with a situation, event or experience in your life. It might be a heavy feeling in your stomach when you think about work or a fluttering in your throat as you consider a new project. These ‘senses’ are actually your body’s understanding about the situation and they carry a deeper meaning for what is happening in your life.

By listening to the felt sense with curiosity, kindness and compassion, you open the door for new perspectives and possibilities to emerge. There is also often a ‘felt shift’ - a sense of release, relief and relaxation - as your body re-organises the way it’s been carrying a situation, event or experience in your life. Focusing supports you to deepen your insight and understanding about yourself so you can move forward in the most meaningful and life-affirming ways.

Focusing is a process of self-awareness and deep, embodied listening that helps you to connect with your inner knowing.

IS THIS FOR ME?

Focusing is not about trying to fix yourself or your problems, it’s a process that allows change to unfold naturally from within your body. Focusing is often used in counselling and psychotherapy but it’s also beneficial for any creative process, project, business setting or in any situation where you’re not sure how to move forward. Focusing is a great support you if:

WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?

A Focusing session can bring immediate insight and relief but it is also a skill that deepens over time. Many profound experiences come from a regular practice that allows you to unfold in a gentle, organic way. Often, this looks like weekly or fortnightly sessions so you have space to grow your inner relationship and build trust in your body’s process.

***My genuine desire is to make Focusing as accessible as possible. This is why I’m offering sessions for $50 to make it easy to say yes to weekly or fortnightly appointments for those who want that. Of course, you can pause or stop the sessions at any time but there is a minimum of 3 to begin with. These initial 3 sessions provide a foundation for the inner journey and also give you a sense of what regular Focusing can be like.
